Washington, D.C. (August 23, 2021): The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) has certified the results for the 2021-2022 HNBA Board of Governors elections and we are pleased to announce that Partner, Mariana D. Bravo has been elected as President- Elect for the 2021-2022 term and will be sworn in as President for the 2022-2023 term. Mariana is deeply committed to the Organization and its mission and has served on the Executive Committee for the past six years as Vice President of Divisions, Sections and Committees, Vice President of External Affairs, Vice President of Programs, and the Regional President for Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland and West Virginia.
The HNBA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, national bar organization that represents the interests of Hispanic attorneys, judges, law students and other legal professionals in the United States. Since its founding over 50 years ago, the HNBA, through a combination of issue advocacy, programmatic activities, networking events and education conferences, has served as the voice of the Hispanic community and has helped generations of lawyers succeed.
The HNBA Board of Governors is comprised of members of the HNBA Executive Committee, 19 regional presidents and the presidents of 30+ HNBA affiliate organizations across the country. In this newly elected position, Mariana will be the chief executive officer of the Association and is the principal spokesperson of the Association. The President will preside over all meetings of the Boards of Governors, the Membership, and the Executive Committee.
