On August 16, 2016, Carr Maloney Member Dennis Quinn will present ‘Trends in Malpractice,’ a two hour interactive ethics seminar hosted by Virginia Continuing Legal Education™. Alongside Eileen Garczynski, Senior Vice President and Equity Partner of McLean-based insurance firm Ames & Gough, Mr. Quinn will examine the most common causes, frequency, and severity of legal malpractice claims, and discuss in depth which practice areas generate the most claims and how attorneys should respond to ethical issues. Mr. Quinn, an elected Member of the Virginia State Bar’s Standing Committee on Legal Ethics and a Faculty Member for the Virginia State Professionalism Course, will explain the most common risks facing law firms today, the mistakes that generate the most damages, and how attorneys can avoid them.
