Litigation Associate
Carr Maloney PC, one of the area’s premier law firms, seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic litigation associate to join its practice.
Interested candidates should have at least one year of judicial clerkship experience and/or 1- 3 years of private law firm experience that includes depositions, discovery and motions practice.
The position affords the opportunity to handle all aspects of case preparation from the inception of the matter through completion, including depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials, research, and writing skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to handle a busy caseload.
Candidates must be licensed in VA or MD as well as in DC. Candidates not currently licensed in DC must be willing to become licensed in DC within a year. Additional licenses in NY, NJ or WV are considered a plus.
The firm offers a competitive salary for the position, with a starting range $ 105,000.00 to $ 113,000.00 dependent on level of experience, with opportunities for bonuses and other incentives, as well a robust benefits program, including health insurance, flexible spending account, and 401(k).

Marketing & Communications Director
Carr Maloney PC, one of the area’s premier law firms, seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator. The firm is located in the Western Market/Foggy Bottom Area of DC with great benefits, easy access to metro and a fun place to work. We are interested in interviewing candidates that meet the following criteria.
- Efficiently handle day-to-day operations of Marketing, including close collaboration with attorneys and staff team members to develop and execute strategic business development and marketing plans including setting goals, defining action items, and delivering on agreed-upon objectives.
- Collaborate with associate attorneys to create/document their business development plans on a quarterly basis and provide the Marketing Committee (MC) with the results of the associate marketing initiatives.
- Design promotional materials, to include drafting and preparing written proposals, pitches, RFP responses, and other communications for clients and prospective clients. Manage the creation and submission of Firm advertisements and other materials to relevant publications, conferences, and organizations.
- Utilize content syndication platforms to distribute and amplify our content across various channels. Ensure the timely and accurate publishing of content on all relevant platforms. Maintain and optimize content syndication workflows and processes. Monitor and analyze content performance metrics on the syndication platform. Generate detailed reports on KPIs, including reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI. Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data to improve future content strategies.
- Enhance marketing collateral, such as practice and firm descriptions, attorney bios, etc., and ensure all marketing content is regularly updated and maintained.
- Schedule and manage the quarterly meetings with the MC to coincide with the quarterly Board Meetings. Prepare the annual reports for the Associate Business Meeting and the Partner’s Business Meeting. Maintain a portfolio of your work for submission to the MC on a quarterly schedule.
- Conduct research on clients, prospective clients, competitor firms, markets, and industries to support business development efforts.
- Administer email marketing initiatives, including publishing client alerts, email campaigns, and firm newsletters. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of externally shared content.
- Manage the maintenance and accuracy of the CRM system and targeted Firm mailing lists for events, client alerts, and other communications.
- Coordinate, design/create presentations and execute various events, including client and alumni gatherings, client CLEs, in-house seminars, external conferences, speeches/marketing presentations and other programming.
- Contribute to the development, editing, and submission of Firm rankings and awards for publications Maintain relationships with external consultants and vendors.
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/communications, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Marketing Director or a similar role with a preference for someone in the legal industry •
- Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO, content marketing and social media
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with limited supervision
- Exceptional communication and written skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, power point) and other graphic design software
