Washington, D.C. (May 9, 2022): Carr Maloney is proud to sponsor The Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund’s Annual Benefit Dinner on Thursday, May 12, 2022, to support their dedication to bringing together Asian Pacific American (APA) attorneys and law students in the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
Carr Maloney attorney Dennis Chong who is a member of the APABA and will also be attending the AEF Annual Benefit said, “Carr Maloney is honored to support the AEF in their initiatives to bring scholarships and professional development opportunities to the APA community.”
The Asian Pacific American Bar Association hosts the annual benefit to raise funding and make the below initiatives happen:
- Grants public interest scholarships each year to diverse law students interning at public-interest organizations that benefit the APA community or the D.C. community at large;
- Administers a mentorship program each year for diverse law students to cultivate one-on-one relationships with APA attorneys in the area;
- Hosts an annual judicial internship and clerkship conference for diverse law students; and
- Provides skills-based programming for diverse law students, like an annual speed-networking event for students to practice their networking skills in a supportive environment.
